japanese essentialism and italian craftsmanship. an octagonal table where the slenderness of its steel structure contrasts with the warm substantiality of wildwood. in japanese, ‘kinoki’ means ‘wood of wood’, but the wood used for this collection is surprisingly lightweight and expresses the ancient japanese cultural capacity for coexisting with ethereal materials. the kinoki collection, which includes tables, chairs and stools, is a ‘slender natural’ collection, designed to provide the tactility and scent of natural wood while remaining extremely light.
